What is a New Dawn Community?
“It is a Christ centered community within an indigenous society, established for the purpose of individual and social transformation.”
This is an interdenominational endeavor by people of faith who desire to fulfill the mission of Christ and participate with God and others in meeting the essential needs of those who are suffering.
We are individuals in an international cooperation who are sharing our knowledge, talents, and resources in a mutually beneficial exchange in which the helpless and hopeless can gain the essential information and skills necessary for them to change their destiny and influence their community. “We lighten their load and enlighten their minds to brighten their future.”
What do we do?
The primary function of New Dawn Communities is to bring genuine help, hope, and healing to the hurting.
This is accomplished by coming along side indigenous people in their need and showing them the love of Christ through following the example of Christ through practical application.
New Dawn Communities is a ministry of World Christian Outreach. The ministry has established a school in Kenya, where the staff and facility receives 13-18 year old orphaned youth who have graduated from the 8th grade through the government funded primary education program.
The youth are willing and able to continue their education through New Dawn’s high school and vocational training center. Upon graduation students are awarded a diploma and are assisted in choosing their vocation or university.
